This packaging design project focused on creating an educational and creative art kit inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Native tribes from Alaska. The goal was to design a product that goes beyond artistic expression, offering users both a hands-on creative experience and an opportunity to engage with Indigenous history, traditions, and storytelling.
The kit includes materials for drawing and coloring, along with curated facts and stories that highlight the traditions, animal history, and cultural practices of various Native Alaskan communities. It also features artwork created in the style of traditional Native art, incorporating authentic visual motifs
that reflect the region’s indigenous artistic heritage. Animal symbolism—central to many tribal stories and beliefs—is explored through both imagery and written content, providing additional layers of educational value.
Visual elements such as patterns, symbols, and color palettes were thoughtfully designed to reflect the cultural and natural richness of Alaska, with respect for the communities represented. Intended for use in educational spaces such as museums and cultural centers, the art kit invites users of all ages to explore, learn, and create through an informed and meaningful experience.
